This way, our stylists will be able toadjust their schedules accordingly and we may be able to accommodate clients on our waiting list. We do, of course, understand that unavoidable issues come up and will do our best to work with you in case of an emergency. Here is ourgeneral breakdown of cancellation fees:
  • Less than 24-hour notice will result in a charge equal to 50% of reserved appointment(s)

  • ‘NO SHOWS’ will be charged 100% of service amount

  • Credit card will be collected upon booking for our cancelation policy. ALL SERVICES RECEIVED ARE NON-REFUNDABLE

Protect Your Clothing

We provide smocks to protect your clothing during color services. Please avoid wearing valuable or delicate clothing, as we cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by color or chemical products.

Keratin Treatment Policy

Our keratin smoothing treatments are designed to reduce frizz, add shine, and temporarily smooth the hair. Results typically last 8–12 weeks but can vary depending on hair type, previous services, lifestyle, and home care. Because results are influenced by many factors, specific outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

For best results, we recommend using professional, sulfate-free products and following our aftercare instructions. Please note: Gibson Hair + Makeup is not liable for variations in results, color changes, or reduced longevity caused by at-home care, water quality, or lifestyle factors.

All clients receiving keratin services will be asked to review and sign a waiver in the salon before treatment.

Corrective Color Policy

Corrective color is a specialized service that requires more time and expertise than a standard color appointment. Because every head of hair has a unique history, corrective services may include:
  • Reconstructive treatments prior to color.
  • Multiple visits to safely achieve your desired result.
  • Separate charges for each session.
Please note: Corrective color is a process, and while we always strive for the best results, outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Your stylist will create a plan customized for your hair’s needs to protect its health and integrity.

Extension Care Policy

Extensions are a beauty investment, and proper care is essential to maintain both your extensions and your natural hair. To protect your results, please follow the care instructions provided by your stylist, including:

Washing: Always brush before shampooing, use salon-grade products, and avoid applying conditioner directly to the bonds.

Drying + Styling: Gently blot dry, detangle carefully, and use recommended brushes, serums, and oils to keep extensions soft and manageable.

Vacation + Water Care: Salt, chlorine, and sunscreen can damage or discolor extension hair. If swimming, braid your hair first, and wash/condition immediately afterward. Mineral-based sunscreens are recommended.

Coloring + Toning: At-home coloring, toning, or use of purple shampoos is not recommended and may damage extensions. All chemical services should be performed by a licensed stylist.

Please note: Gibson Hair + Makeup is not responsible for damage, discoloration, or shortened wear caused by improper care, product misuse, environmental factors, or at-home chemical services.
