Session Stylist + Makeup Artist
Kelli has been a hairstylist for sixteen years. She began her career in Charlottesville, Virginia, at the young age of sixteen, where she trained under a national platform
artist for 5 years and traveled with her around the country, working hair shows.
Kelli then moved to Southern California, where she continued her hairindustry
education for five years before moving back to her hometown of Charleston, South Carolina.
Kelli was also a Matrix artistic educator for seven years, where she worked under
some of the world’s leading hairstylists, teaching hundreds of other hairstylists the
most fashionable techniques in the industry. She stays current with the latest in
hairindustry innovations by taking classes, most recently attending a training in
NYC with celebrity colorist Tracey Cunningham, the mastermind behind the
hairstyles of many of Hollywood’s elite (Lily Aldridge, the Kardashians, Jennifer
Lopez, Emma Stone, and Shakira, just to name a few). Kelli specializes in natural, sunkissed, and livedin hair color, combining a series of techniques she’s collected throughout her years of training to create coloring options that complement sunny Charleston and her clients’ lifestyles.
Kelli also has a passion for runway shows and editorial work. She has worked New York and Charleston fashion weeks, and some of her editorial session styling
includes photo shoots for magazines like Southern Living, Garden and Gun, Charlie,
and The Art Mag;fashion ads for Oscar de la Renta and Charleston’s own
Troubadour: New York Times bestselling author Emily Giffin; and bands like Purity Ring, Band of Horses, and NEEDTOBREATHE.
Above all, though, Kelli has a passion for people. She’s proud to have worked (and to continue working) with the hair industry’s greats, but she’s always glad to be home
in Charleston, helping her clients discover the best of themselves and the confidence
that comes with developing the personal styles that work for them.
