Floral hair pieces are kind of a must for styling wedding hair in the fall. They don’t have to be big, statement making, boho flower crowns. Smaller headbands or fall flowers individually worked into the hair work quite nicely as well.

A classic braided chignon with a small amount of fall leaves and flowers worked into the braids is an elegant and classy option. On the opposite end of the spectrum, long, curly tendrils with an autumn colored corsage can give brides and bride’s maids a look that shimmers with romantic innocence. An autumn in-between is an ‘updo’ with a few hanging locks and a dainty flower crown.

A few fall makeup trends that blend nicely into wedding styles:

• The Smokey Eye: One of the best ways to achieve a beautiful set of smokey eyes is to apply your eye makeup first. This way, you can clean up any smudges or fallen powder without disturbing your foundation and other makeup. Live in the realm of the softer earth-tone shadows for those autumn smokey eyes suitable for stunning wedding makeup.
• The Exaggerated Cat Eye: This effect is great if you want to add a bit of vintage drama to your wedding look. When transforming your eyes to appear more feline, draw the lines on your eyelids first, then attempt to create the flick or slight, outer up-swoop that finishes off the cat eye look, as it will be much easier to correct any small errors. You can sharpen and correct the cat eye lines with a pointed Q-tip
• Bright Warm Lips: Bold lips are nothing new, but you can create a chic fall wedding look with fuchsia lips that are enhanced by just a bit of aqua liner near the top of your eyes.

The wonderful thing about fall is that even though the weather is starting to get a bit cold, the colors are quite warm and inviting. Some of the best fall colors that can be worked into the floral arrangements, men’s clothes, napkins and table clothes, wedding hair, makeup, and dresses are:

Copper, chocolate, orange, deep yellows, warm shades of purple, grey, burgundy, beige, browns, white, and deep greens. The fiddle fern screams autumn elegance, and acts as the perfect accent to any fall bouquet. Orange or purple calla lilies make a beautiful base for a floral arrangement and can go with anything from burgundy roses to mini-pumpkins (miniature-gourds), asters, mums, Russian Sage, and goldenrod. Helenium is one of the most beautiful fall flowers —at least in my humble opinion. A breathtaking bouquet or table arrangement can be as simple as perennial sunflowers with helenium, colchium, and baby’s breath.
